Homeward Bound

After 8 days of very good care and service at Ak Hospital, it seemed a pity that they went and shot themselves in the proverbial foot taking a good 5 and a half hours to discharge me today.
A test of patients (as is the rocky road currently outside the Hospital - must be part of the triage process 0 if you can survive Grafton Rd you probly don't need hospital!)
Back home today - what a relief to crawl info my own bed again...the house decorated either for my homecoming or leftovers from Sophie's party (possibly both).
So come over any time now - call first is probly best idea.
I won't be heading out anywhere in a hurry...
There are many things I am looking forward to doing now that I'm home, but engaging with the delights of solid motion post-bowel op is not one of them!
Love,
Gerald.

  1. Hoorah you are home to your own bed! Great news. Just in time for a Guiness today ... or not, perhaps! See you soon I am sure. xxx

  2. Gerald,

Congrats on making it back to you own bed. I don't think the guy that invented the modern day bed realized how much a person looks forward to a good crash in their own sandbox.

Alas, on to more important items. Because you now have a few spare minutes to burn, let me be the first in line with a homework assignment. I need the name of some smooth jazz artists and some good classical music. Top shelf stuff; not the clearance items for a $1.99 at Walmart. Something to burn a little end of day tension while sharing a quiet moment with our good friend Merlot. It may require deep thought, but as they say, the mind is a terrible thing to waste (unless you're a US politician, in which case it doesn't matter).

    Thanks,

    Wayne & Margaret

  4. dear Monica, just like the Guiness, I'm not bitter...
Wayne and Margaret (which one posted the comment? nearly as confusing as Gerald and Lois eh?) - silky jazz = chet baker, cool jazz = miles davis (kinda blue and birth of the cool both highly recommended), contemporary cutting edge cool = jan garbarek (in praise of dreams, which features jazz viola on it!, or "officium" a much more static sound - try one of these and get back to me ....)
charlie - is this holly? - thanks for the prayers...any time you feel like it, i am grateful!
