glitches

Sorry (circumstances beyond, blah blah...)
A few glitches, some lovely comments not thru to us yet.
Kerry making a movie about vB's 9th (it's official - the Viennese loved it - and they didn't dance to it)...followingthe9th.com I THINK is where to go for the trailer.

Jenni L, thank you for the offer of WINZ guidance - we will definitely be in touch if the food parcels fail to appear!!

Don't give up!

  1. Morning Gerald and Lois!

My mum knows WINZ inside out and back to front (she works in a budgeting and crises agency and is damn good at her job) - she can also organise food parcels (really) - you are welcome to email me anytime for advice or her contacts. Most likely she will even know of grants/entitlements you may never even have heard of!

BTW - your taste in music and films mirrors my own in such a way thats its positively spooky! Love seeing you with the wonderful Cat - what a blessing that was to receive!

    xx

  2. Jeni,
    That is brilliant support.
    Will be in touch!
You seem to have many email addresses!
Enjoy the shared tastes, and let us know of any recommendations you may have!
Are you going to the Pianomania movie at the film fest, or The Red Shoes??

  3. Righto - you asked for it....recommendations:

Sigur Ros - Icelandic band - beautiful songs with gorgeous strings
Jane Siberry - latest album - "With What Shall I Keep Warm?" - so moving
Dudley Benson - The Awakening (eclectic NZ songwriting) - twee but strangely delightful
Beirut - a wonderful American modern gypsy band
Suljan Stevens - American songwriter - eclectic and imaginative

I can supply any of the music - iTunes disk? or audio disks? - very happy to share the joy....

Any films by the Coen brothers...

Film festival - I really want to see "There Once Was an Island" - all about Richard Moyle (my thesis supervisor) and an Island called Taaku which is about to disappear under the rising water. Most amazing sounding music! A sad doco about the loss and dispersal of a culture.

    Thats enough for today!
