We just saw A Serious Man (Coen bros new film) very, very good - dark humour, brilliant, brilliant vignette moments and encounters, hinted connections, things lingering in the air, wonderfully shot, very very funny moments... no questions answered... passionate about truth... kind of depressing if that's all there is, but that's just the point - as Christians we don't have the answers either but we do believe that the One we believe in has the answers (somewhere!) and if not, then he still holds everything together as THE Answer.

That's why Faith, Hope and Love are important.
Either we believe that God will fulfil His (or Her, eh, Ruth?) promises, or we don't.
Either we have Hope for the future, or we don't...
Either we are creatures growing in the soil of Love, or we aren't.
Simple, big, intangible choices.
Wanting to check out the Coen Bros movie (have only seen O Brother Where Art Thou - very impressive).
