ReplyDeleteSam certainly gets bonus points for his movie-exclusive ironic line "We're not even supposed to be here!" Aragorn seems too self doubting, considering he was in his 80s and had served under Theoden's father.

ReplyDeleteIt's definitely there in the book, and I don't think it's overstated in the movie.
The thing is, he grows through it and moves into his kingdom confidently in the end.
Sounds like I'm going to have to read the book again.
