Great imaginative ideas.
I love the art works coming to life.
And the scene between Ben Stiller and "Brundon".
And the octopus.
And the accapella Jonas brothers voicing cherubs.
And the sculpture of the Thinker coming to life!
Amy Adams is a treat to watch - full of enthusiasm and joy.
All the characters are there from Museum 1, except Dick van Dyke and Mickey Rooney.
A fun soundtrack.
Will probably spawn even more sequels...something to watch again to catch the details you missed first time.
GOOD FAMILY FARE.

A capella isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI think Dick van Dyke and Mickey Rooney were amongst the best parts on the first one. They were awesome, especially considering their age. Dancing with the mop at the end was cool.
ReplyDeleteno...i think you'll find it is accapella.
ReplyDeleteDick van Dyke was a real treat for me. Does anyone remember the Dick van Dyke show???
ReplyDeleteActually it seems it's neither. I looked and found it's "a cappella". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_cappella
ReplyDeleteyou are correct.
ReplyDeleteslip of my memory.
apologies everyone.
I remember the Dick van Dyke Show (and Bonanza and Green Acres and Beverly Hillbillies and Mr Ed and I Love Lucy and It's in the Bag!!). The latter one has been having re-runs from the 70's on Channel 6 recently! I'm showing my age here! I've just taken Roseanne and Shona to the airport - they are off to a National Youth Choir reunion weekend in Wellington. Why weren't you ever in that choir Gerald?
ReplyDeleteMr Ed! That's going back a bit. I heard they got him to "talk" by smearing peanut butter on his lips.
ReplyDeleteBlah blah blah. You are all too old. Tone it down a bit.
ReplyDeleteThat *was* toned down. Didn't you notice we were typing in grey and white?
ReplyDeleteCoralie,
ReplyDeleteRemember "My 3 Sons"? "Bewitched"? "High Chapporal"? (sp).
Not in that choir 'cos I think I was getting a bit "choired out" at the time.
Also, um, marriage!! (I think).
Ian, I think most of us would talk if we'd had someone come and smear peanut butter on our lips - my favourite is Pam's extra crunchy.
ReplyDeleteG.
Alexander,
ReplyDeleteblah blah blah to you too.
too old for what??????
rather be old in body, young in mind than vice versa...
Ian, something I have had from my students from time to time is the question "Sir, were you around in the days when it was black and white?"
ReplyDeleteG.
I remember we did an informal peanut butter consistency survey at church one evening and the result was a pretty consistent (pun intended) split, with the older (wiser) people liking crunchy and the younger people liking smooth. I definitely like crunchy.
ReplyDeletea good breakfast = 2 pieces of toast with butter melting into it, spread generously with extra crunchy peanut butter and, for contrast, chocolate chips OR golden syrup OR appelstroop.
ReplyDeleteG.
Peanut butter is totally AND utterly DISGUSTING!!!! I don't know how you can STAND the foul stuff!
ReplyDeleteI'd also be most put out if someone came and smeared it over my lips. And if they expected me to talk after that they'd be getting their hopes up... GROSS!
Maybe your lips would be tooo stuck together to get any words out!
ReplyDeleteG.
It might be fun to try, though.
ReplyDeletepeanut butter - good always.
ReplyDeletethough a PPTA colleague of mine, Jonathan J, has a theory that we need to be very careful these days because where the peanuts grow could be subject to soil and/or water pollution.
That's one reason why I was a little surprised to hear that you like Pam's. The last time I bought the stuff I bought Sanitarium's Aussie-made stuff.
ReplyDeleteUm...the taste of Pam's is very good! The right amount of saltiness in it.
